I had to take a day off to be with the kids ( no school today ) and brought home one of our new 2800 routers to play with. We are upgrading all of our 2600's out at the branches. This thing is a cadillac. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/drooley.gif)

That "huge fast router" quote was planted by the team when they realized customers had caught on to the internal lingo.. a desperate attempt which failed, thus the "CRS" Product ID creation.
This was all Sort of like Porsche planting silly rumors in '96 that the 911 was going to be rear engined, V-8 powered.. and recently, that the 914 would be resurrected using an Subaru engine (masking the "Cayman" project)... sort of.. except Porsche knows what they are doing.... ( they actually tried to change the internal project name to something completely different, but no-one would use the new terminology so they gave up) |
