I have a miller 175, it is great. 5 times the price with all the goodies to come with it (and that was a good price).
I haven't used a HF unit, but I have seen the floor models in the store locally. The handles are all busted up on them, as for the rest??? For $199 and IF it comes with all the parts for gas go for it! If it does not, are the conversion parts cheap? Just figure that unit as a consumable itself, It would pay for itself on its first couple of jobs. At that point you can decide if welding is a major thing in your life and move up, or use it for what you need and forget about it. Oh yeah, buy the extended warranty on it if you do. |
