Any thoughts on how to deal with an eBay seller trying to rape me on shipping? I've ordered an item that I've purchased a few of from other sellers. Shipping is typically around $10-$15. He wants to charge me $37.
I've already won the auction, and no, he didn't list and I didn't ask. I think that I'll refuse to pay and take the hit if he won't work with me. I have 189+ ebay feedback (100%) and he has 1+ (100%). I sent him an e-mail with shipping quotes from UPS and USPS for a package the correct weight and size. |

Yep, I know. I should have checked with the seller. I actually thought that I had. I was bidding on two auctions at the same time.
As for fuel charges..... If the truck was empty except for my two plastic headlights weighing in at less than 10 lbs boxed, I could understand that. If that is how UPS or USPS are doing business then they deserver to fail. I don't think that is the case. I beleive that I am being raped on shipping by some sleazy seller in Florida. Fort Walton Beach, FL and Madison, MS aren't that far apart. Shipping charges wouldn't be that high if they were buring GOLD in their trucks. The shipping cost should be no more than $10 and I won't pay more than $20. I'll give him $10 over, but no more. |
