Excellent site here for Porsche 914!
Did the 914-6, as from the factory, have the tail mount shifter as did the 1970-72 Porsche 914-4 so the shifting is similar to the 1970-72 914-4? Was dealer-installed AC offered as an option on the Porsche 914-6? Thanks! |

The factory 914-6 had a slightly different version of the tail-shift transmission. The gearing was different, and the external linkage was slightly different.
I don't know offhand of any 914-6es that came from the dealers with AC. It is possible, but I think the AC kits were intended specifically for the four-cylinder cars. I know of one or two that have been converted by their owners, though. --DD |
