On page 101 of the Brian Long book about 914's is the only one I have seen that is not in race trim. There have been several picutres over the years in Excellece of different ones. Does anybody have a full size copy of that picture on page 101? I might be interested in replicating the stripe job. Thanks, Mark.

May 1971: The 'M471 Option Package' is offered for the 914/6. The 914/6 GT 'lookalike' pack includes steel wheelarch flares 6"x 15" Fuchs spoked alloys with spacers and longer wheel studs to move the wheels out, a flared steel front valance and glass-fibre sill covers.
The M471 option number is used across the Porsche line in the 70's for 914, 911, 924, is usually used as to identify "sport upgrade brake, tires & wheels package" with the other models. Source Google. 914/6 GT and M471 more alike than not. |
