On page 101 of the Brian Long book about 914's is the only one I have seen that is not in race trim. There have been several picutres over the years in Excellece of different ones. Does anybody have a full size copy of that picture on page 101? I might be interested in replicating the stripe job. Thanks, Mark.

Sir Andy as far as I know you are 100% correct. I guess you can compare the M471 914 to the 911 M471 911=2.7RS Touring and not the light weight 911 RS, and the 914 GT to the M491= 911 2.8 RSR, for racing except for the engine up grade where all 914-6 GT had 2.0Li engines. The 914 M471 could be ordered at any time during the 914 production life from the Factory, but the Factory 914-6 GT's where made only for racing, I think from 70-71, after that it was left up to independent race shops to modify them with bigger engines and 9in rear rims.
