On page 101 of the Brian Long book about 914's is the only one I have seen that is not in race trim. There have been several picutres over the years in Excellece of different ones. Does anybody have a full size copy of that picture on page 101? I might be interested in replicating the stripe job. Thanks, Mark.

when I wrote "the M471 option was available only in 1971 & 72 for the -6" I actually thought about the standard sales programm

we all know that money makes almost everything possible - just read the following text, concerning the car in the lower pic:

The only 916 factory replica. Only 11 original 916s were built.
In 1980, this original 914-6 returned to the factory and was re-
engineered as a 916 and was issued a letter of authenticity
