On page 101 of the Brian Long book about 914's is the only one I have seen that is not in race trim. There have been several picutres over the years in Excellece of different ones. Does anybody have a full size copy of that picture on page 101? I might be interested in replicating the stripe job. Thanks, Mark.

100% factory 916 ... but without "916-history" ... it's "just" a clone ... and always will be

Gustl, do you know if that 916 clone was ever in Florida?

If so, I have photos of it, I was at Black Forest in DelRey Fl sometime in the 90's and they had this 914 there, and they should me some paper work and told me it was done by Porsche into a 916, had a leather padded roll bar, front to rear.
The seats were a mixture of color beige brown.
The car color was a semi dark blue, and of course carpet every where.
But I think that the roof was not welded.
When I return to my office on Monday I will try a scan these photos if I can find them and post them.
