Since my hood will be a pretty wide and featureless without the headlights, I will make the gas filler a feature...probably along with another vent but I'll reveal that later.

I like the idea of your project, and the Porsche embossed gas cap is cool......but....one of the nice things about the 914 is the security of the gas tank. I can see why you'd want it accessable in a race car, but for me that would be the only reason. I'm not big on a gas cap as a styling feature, and IMHO it's against the grain of your project. Just my .02 though, it's your car and you've got to do as you wish! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)
