We are returning to Hot Springs for the Mid US 914 Ramble #5...back to the fabulous Lake Hamilton Resort. The dates are October 2-5, 2003. Put that on your calendar. Group room rates at the Lake Hamilton Resort are $69. Call them prior to Sept 2nd at 1.866.712.8606 to reserve a room at this rate. Tell them you are with the "914 SIG" to get the group rate.
We'll get out more information about the events and the registration fee soon... check the 914 Special Interest Group Events Page. In the meantime, whet your appetite by checking out the LRH Website It's going to be a GREAT time this year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) |

My wife hails from Arkansa's Spa City. Hot Springs in October is a great place to enjoy mother nature's finest colors and is even better viewed from one of Germany's finest, vinatge roadsters.
A few years back Road And Track did a series of articles on the best sports car roads in the US. Several of Arkansa's "less traveled" highways were listed. Lawrence - Highway 88 (the rollercoaster) has been improved with full re-surfacing..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) For early visitors, the 29th annual Oktober Fest will be in full swing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) I'd like to suggest that everyone comes well rested. I can attest to the fact that some of the finer Porsche related discussions have taken place after the stroke of midnight. TX, MO, OK, IL, TN, CA, MS have weighed in each year with excellent representation. Let's keep this "Renegade" tradition alive and well. I'm planning to drive up early in Yeller. Gudmund and Rikke will be in tow in their 914. They are comming in from Copenhagen to attend their second consecutive MUSR event. Plan a few extra days, take a less traveled path, unwind your 914 and come in early. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dance.gif) |
