I've got a set of very weathered Pedrinis on my 14. Setting aside, for now, the obvious way to improve their appearance (5-lug conversion, duh), can I get any suggestions on refinishing?
Powdercoat -- cheap (~$75/wheel), durable, attractive, but there is some speculation that the baking process might affect the strength of the alloy Paint -- probably the best way to duplicate the factory finish, but surprisingly expensive (~$150/wheel), and of dubious durability Polish -- don't know about expense (maybe the same as powdercoat?), looks good initially, but requires continual attention Thoughts, vendors, other options? Thanks in advance. |

Refinished my Mahles in the garage with the paint kit from Griot's Garage and it turned out perfectly, though I'm certainly not a genius with a spray can. Has held up for 2 years in Michigan and still looks good. Just scuffed them with 400 grit, blew the dust off and started painting.
