I am thinking about picking up a 915 trans but it is an earlier one (75) that is magnesium not aluminum.
other than strength and wieght what are the disadvantages? My goal with this will be a sideshift conversion for a higher HP powerplant |

Dont let the mag case catch fire. 911 perf. handbook does not really go in depth as to the differences/advantages of one or the other. I think it is kinda spendy to convert a 915 box to mid-engine usage..
