What numbers should I get when doing a compresion check on a 73 1.7 . Looking to establish the genaral condition of the engine. If it's good I keep it and throw away the progresive carb. and install F.I. IF it doesn't check out then a 2.0 with F.I.

He asked " what should the compression be on a 73 1.7L?"
They come in two flavors low and high! or 8.2 to 1 or 7.6 to 1 ratios.
