I've got a set of very weathered Pedrinis on my 14. Setting aside, for now, the obvious way to improve their appearance (5-lug conversion, duh), can I get any suggestions on refinishing?

Powdercoat -- cheap (~$75/wheel), durable, attractive, but there is some speculation that the baking process might affect the strength of the alloy

Paint -- probably the best way to duplicate the factory finish, but surprisingly expensive (~$150/wheel), and of dubious durability

Polish -- don't know about expense (maybe the same as powdercoat?), looks good initially, but requires continual attention

Thoughts, vendors, other options?

Thanks in advance.

if your just going to sell em when you go 5 lug, beadblast, paint, and the clear.....

painting a wheel is 150 bucks?uh... maybe if you do 10 wheels....... 15 each maybe....

Maybe I should have clarified that the $150 quote was given to me by Wheel Restoration. I understand that a DIY approach would be significantly less expensive.

But since you mentioned bead-blasting, what vendor do you use for your bead-blasting?

i know this guy..... who has one (thanks slits)
