QUOTE(vsg914 @ Sep 10 2003, 02:37 PM) Cool Rich, Will you make some copies for sale? That would look great on my 914 wall. this was the first of a limited-edition run of that painting - i will do 10 total, there are 9 to go. one is allocated to next year's ECR; one is allocated to the next West Coast Wramble - whenever that is. two more are destined for private collections. that leaves 5. you can check out the ArtechnikA website for a larger, higher-resolution version to see it in better detail. the process i use results in very similar yet uniquely hand-painted originals; i think they're reasonably priced (i wind up making about what a Wall-Mart greeter does, on a per-hour basis...). eventually i will get into some real reproduction quantities - the pricing and technology of Artist Giclée are getting very attractive. but i need to have a painting around long enough to send it off for commercial repro scanning - i have been running so far behind on commisions that they get framed and packed the day the paint is dry enough to handle! i -should- have the studio back together from the move before too much longer, and then i can start thinking about where i need to take the process. so far, car people haven't bought dick so i think i really need to focus on the aviation themes for a while again. |
