Was going through a bucket of 1.8 L-jet parts and didn't recognize this one. Can someone tell me where I would see it, what is does, and how one might test it to make sure it works.
Went back to garage: It has full continuity cold, put it under a light bulb and reduced continuity to 0 Numbers: cant make out the part number, but these appear on it: 12V 40W / 2.75 / 13 degrees C, Bosh Germany / VW Audi ( logos) Attached image(s)

I don't know what it is, but I can tell you where it is on an L jet bug, (L half of case, bakc of block, I know it is some sort of temp sensor)I will look in my Bentley when I get home, it has decent info on
