Im looking for a beater for back and forth to work. Just what subaru engine is everyone using for the 914 swap over and what body is it in? I figure I could drive my donor for a year or so untill such time as the swap over could be made. Just in the kicking around stage for now. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

OOh! a subie question! i got it, i got it!
The suby swaps can be done with any of the EJ series engines (NASIOC forums/renegade's site):
If you're just looking for a beater for commuting, the standard Impreza RS with the NA 2.5 (EJ25) would be my suggestion, any year depending on your price point. My WRX has the EJ20 and i absolutely love it (once you get past the turbo lag). The H6s are all in legacies and the ol' SVX (and the new Tribeca). |
