It will kinda stumble and miss with a real lack of power until about 2800. After that it pulls strong.

I set the timing the on Fri. at 3500 rpm and the mark on the fan linned up in the v groove on the housing.

I rebuilt the dist. last night but only removed the nut holding it to the case.

I it possible with the rebuild, the timing is different?? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

One thing I found wrong with my 1.7L FI dizzy was the electrical contact between the advance plate. Once I cleaned it up and adjusted the tension of the spring and contact it was much better.

ANY vacuum leak will affect how the engine manages fuel specially the MPS function.
