I realize there are not a lot of 914's out there, but it seems like you could make up a dye or whatever they call it to stamp them out and knock out a bunch of them. They do SS stuff for old 911's and Bugs, so why not. Perhaps if enough of us bombarded them with requests they would do it; any thoughts?

Between this, and the damn windshield frame seal, I am starting to wish I had better fabrication skills.

I don't know if DANSK ever made SS HE for the 914, but I do know that after speaking with John at SSI, there are 3 reasons that he won't ever do them again, even though he still has the dies to make them.

1. The cost of stainless steel in todays market.

2. 914 Owner's budgets.

3. Number of 914 type cars remaining.

He was very straight forward with me, most 914 folks won't pay what he would have to charge. It's really THAT simple.
