I dont have a battery tray right now. I'm going to buy one and weld it in if an optima gel battery will fit on it. If not I'll just fab my own. Well, will it fit? BTW I did a search and turned up nothing battery related.

They have acid in them, it's just in a thicker form i.e. "gel-cel". The batteries are completely sealed and won't leak unless you put a bullet through it. I use one in my Jetta and Squareback as well. Just flip it around 180-degrees as mentioned.
