We had a car theft ring in Dallas that was stealing cars out of fenced in lots behind dealerships. The thieves were caught when the Brick Truck they used to lift the cars out of the dealer lot broke down right outside with a car in the sling. What they would do is pull up outside the fence, and one guy rode the sling over. Then he hooked up the car and rode the hoist back. They put the car in the back of the brick truck with high sides and drove away.
The driver of the truck ran on foot when the cops showed up. The other guy was stuck in the stolen car hanging from the sling. FYI.. professional car thieves will get your car if they want it. What you want to do with your 914 is to make it harder for the gang bangers or the joyriders to steal than the Camaro down the street. |
