So, got my trick gears into my trans, loaded
the cluster into the case....tried putting on the tail housing....and it won't go....Sumbitch, the reverse gear is incompatible with the B gear. Where TF does one find one that is?....God only knows. Otto's, Powerhouse, Brad Mayeur? I guess I *really* don't need reverse..right..careful planning is sure to get me wrapped around the axle (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) I'll go write some email while youz guys (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/av-943.gif) Have a nice time.....shit. |

I do like the welded diff and I still have one in the current A, F, K/L, S, X box that is installed in the car. And the way things are going, it seams I will get to enjoy this welded diff longer than expected.
but I wanted to try something different and after a bunch of research (phone calls to Paul Guard and actual back to back track testing from my builder) I decided to go with a TB diff for the new box. I wouldn't even be building a new box, except my old box has the -4cylinder gears and I'm getting killed with that gearing on the -6. so as long as we are building a new box we decided to try something different for the diff. Yep... waiting on the guard TB. (and starting to fear that I will never get it) brant |
