(Piggybacking on the "how much have you spent" poll from yesterday...)
This morning I attented a lecture on "Inter-Generational Diversity in the Workplace". More specifically, someone explaining the differences between the 4 generations currently existing in American culture. She made a point to say that Baby Boomers do the least amount of saving, due to their affinity with expensive material possesions, including "those fancy restored cars". Shame on your boomers! No I didn't. My team produced a film that was airing right after her lecture, so my mind was elsewhere. I perked up when she said the bit about "fancy restored cars". Maybe I should have defended the baby boomer car enthusiasts...but I didn't. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) By the way, this woman was no hippie. She's a consultant for the hospital and is probably pulling down an ungodly amount of money. |
