some of the broadband challanged members complained that the new site was too slow for them.
i made a few changes in the setup, mainly, i now run PHP as an ISAPI filter instead of a CGI executeable. this should help speeding things up a bit ... snails, please report back ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yawn.gif) Andy |

Site is definitely faster than yesterday. If you are running on IIS6, be sure to be running in Worker Process Isolation mode and tune your worker threads.
<httpRuntime executionTimeout="90" maxRequestLength="4096" useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="false" minFreeThreads="88" minLocalRequestFreeThreads="76" appRequestQueueLimit="1000" enableVersionHeader="false" <processModel enable="true" timeout="Infinite" idleTimeout="Infinite" shutdownTimeout="0:00:05" requestLimit="Infinite" requestQueueLimit="5000" restartQueueLimit="10" memoryLimit="60" webGarden="false" cpuMask="0xffffffff" userName="machine" password="AutoGenerate" logLevel="Errors" clientConnectedCheck="0:00:05" comAuthenticationLevel="Connect" comImpersonationLevel="Impersonate" responseDeadlockInterval="00:03:00" maxWorkerThreads="100" maxIoThreads="100" minWorkerThreads="50" minIoThreads="50" /> Running under an ISAPI is going to be much better on Windows even if IIS5 on Win2000. |
