So the boss looks over my 914. Says i need a new Fuel Pump (mine whines and loses pressure a bit) and I have a bad injector. Also the diaphram in my vacuum advance is borked. He offered me a Bosch distributor (not an 050?) that has a total advance of 36º. Came off of a 356 of some sort. totally rebuildable... Not sure what kind of distributor it is... Appearantly I get my pick from that, a rebuilt 009, a 010, or a 012... These numbers confuse me. I guess the important thing is what my total advance is, and how fast it gets there... This will cost me probably nothing, so I hope.
What bosch distributor has a total advance of 36º? |

Brandon: Yesterday I changed Linda's 009 to a 010. I'm looking for better milage. But by doing so she gets more advance at the bottom and therefore more bottom end.
Had her test drive the car and she liked it. We will be reporting the milage after this weekend. Joe |
