Well I was out there in 98 degree heat and played slip and slide through the cones.

Fastest run was 4th run .... till I spun.

So here is the best no spin.

Oh yea I sucked. Got beat by 2 brand new ZO6's and a Street Prepared Cobra Mustang.
and some other sumpthin I think the time screwed up on a few cars.

Start sucked. I was having problems with idle jets. Engine bogged and was just pissing me off. sorta throws out the concentration factor right out the freaking window ..
after the last run where I was full out and actually had a great launch. (got to spin the tires to get it rev'ed)
After the last run I was barely able to get it back to the paddock area.
Driving on slicks takes a bit more finesse they DO make it easier to lock. wheels and tires are 11 pounds lighter than Diamonds and DOT Hoosiers.
Also wanted to know how low on tire pressure I could go. I believe the spin was evidence that I went too low (21 PSI is WAY to low). Got the tires loaded in the turn and then snap they let go. I think they rolled over and lifted the face off the pavement. 24 F 26 R was about the best.
So enough tuning with that.

Them skinny wheels are doing you bad.
20 psi cold is about right for me, then keep them there.....tho I've been as low as 16 with no ill effects, but NOT with the cantilevers. Those sidewalls are not near as stiff as the straight sides. I've found slicks very forgiving if you keep the back end within 10-15 degs. Beyond that, it gets ugly....beyond ugly is backwards (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
