I am looking at buying a '73 2 litre(v. nice car) which has a low compression reading in #3 and#4 cylinders.
Any suggestions as to repair of the same? I figure that I will have to drop the engine and pull the heads, strip them down and send the base heads to a specialist. The leakdown results were mainly in the valves, some ring leakage in #4. I will check the bottom end out when I pull the heads. I guess there is no easy fix,I need some advice and clear diagrams about how to go about it. Thanks Geoff |
