(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Just got the 914 on the road. Runs well and smooth. Well as smooth as it can with the Web cam. Typical rat-a-tat-tat of the lifters but under load, a high pitched rattling noise, but only under load. Any thoughts? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

It does sound like it is a sympathetic vibration. Also check at the bottom of the firewall under the engine tin around the alternator where the brake valve lives. I had a brake line that was a few centimeters from the body and it would vibrate against the firewall so the whole car seemed to buzz intermittantly.
