why wouldnt you simply attach the cable end to the bracket used by the cruise control cable?

Fabricate a bracket like I did on the de car. Fairly simple and works with a stock 194-4 throttle cable...much cheaper and easier to get. It uses the stock bell crank; you need a plate and a pivot arm and a holder for the shaft. Want a drawing? or I will make you one for about a million dollars (or your best offer). I could probably have one made by the time you need it (haha). John used the same plan for his 3.2 conversion. John might quote a cheaper price.
