I'm not Ed, I'm his "partner in crime", but I'll answer this since he hasn't gotten to it yet. They were bought from someone on this forum and came out of a 914/6 GT. I'm not sure if they're the original seats from a GT car but they feel great, sit a few inches higher, and can fold forward + have lumbar supports. The leather is nice too; it matches the rest of the 914 interior perfectly so I'm sure they're out of a Porsche of some sort.

The guy who sold them to Ed said he was too tall for them at over 6'. Completely understandable since I'm only about 5'10" and my head almost touches the top.
