think ive decided on getting the largest size typeIV i can to build for the car, am also planning on a pertronix? billet alum distributor with ignitor II , and am looking at a set of brosol/solex carbs in either 40s or 44s , cept the carbs i found say they are for a type 1 dual port , but they come with all the hardware manifolds etc for what id say was a reasonable price of bout $430 for the 40s and $499 for the 44s.this is for brand new, not remanufactured.
would these work? |

sorry but type 1 manifolds won't fit a type 4

so a 2270 stroker hm? good to know on the manifold thing cuz pics i saw looked just like the ones for type 4s, but pics were really small so maybe i just couldnt tell that well were in a jcwhitney cat for vw stuff dist says its a direct replace for the 009 so im guessing thats good? |
