Does anyone know of a source for a Fuchs Dry Sump oil pump? It is similiar in configuration to a Clauds Buggies dry sumpt pump. and was available in the early 1970s.

(please excuse the multiple responses as the modem keeps dropping out.)
The configuration is the same as the Clauds Buggies pump: Pressure side outside the case and the scavange side in the case. While this required "transfer" passages in the pump, the normal case plumbing remained stock. (I believe that most of the other Dry Sumpt pumps,[Bertils, Heppenstall, Autocraft, Hiddigger, ] hadthe pressure side in the case and required external plumbing and plugs.) The Fuchs pump had a slightly higher Scavange to pressure ratio than the Clauds Buggies. |
