How do you attach a fiberglass fender to a car? Is the fender a full fender or is it mostly a partial so you have to cut away the metal fender and graft in the FB in the resultant hole? Pictures?

If you pull the metal Fenders, all they way around, and install Fiberglass ones, does it cause structual intergity issues?

I would ask, Why do this on a street car? It is a lot of work. It would be easier to leave them steel But to answer your question I think it would cause problems. You ever see a kit car after 10 years? The F/G cracks.

QUOTE
If you had Fiberglass Fenders hoods, and bumpers, but steel doors, would you feel safe using that as a street car?

No, not with the nut jobs driving around here.

QUOTE
If you added a cage would it be safe enough?

There have been several topics about using a cage in a street car. But I would not like a full cage in a daily driver.

QUOTE
Would you recommend just going to a body shop for this type of rebody, over a relative tyro trying this type of body work?

If you can afford a body shop-let them deal with the problems.

QUOTE
In your experince, do FG pieces ussualy line, up, or require a shitload of prep work to get the gaps right?

No, they don't because it depends on how you mount them to the body. Some rework is always needed.

[QUOTE] With having Steel Doors, and FG everything else, will it be quickly apparent between them?[QUOTE]
Depends, on too many things.

Some people will now disagree with me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
