How do you attach a fiberglass fender to a car? Is the fender a full fender or is it mostly a partial so you have to cut away the metal fender and graft in the FB in the resultant hole? Pictures?

Hey Paul - you make a great point about just doing the bolt on bits. I've done a fair bit of this sort of thing, and think I can imagine what's involved. What makes the entire fender deal so difficult? Can you comment on the process? Removing the fenders is a real bitch for sure.
One question - if you took the fenders off and replaced them with glass, wouldn't you pretty much need a cage for stiffness? You'd have removed a lot of very securely attached, triangulatin' metal. Esp for a 300lb driver and passenger! Dave |
