I'm installing my windshield today. What size butyl tape should I get??/ Seems like some people have a problem with their trim when they use too large a size.
Thanks
Peter

Hi,
I went to an auto glass shop to get some butyl tape for my rear window. He gave me enough to do two windows and didn't charge me a thing. It was 3/8 and he told me it was ok to stretch it if I wanted it to be thinner. Nice guy. When I order my windshield it will probly be from him. I tried stretching it like he said and it can be done but ya gotta be careful it don't break.
Cheers, Elliot
