one of my buddies has been looking into doing a v8 conversion. he has no problem with the engine part, but is worried about losing handling if he decides to do it? for those of you with experience with v8's, how do they handle?

The SVX engine fits. Its almost identical to a 911 engine.

B

I've considered the SVX engine but was wondering what would make it a good choice. What is the advantage/disadvantage between the SVX engine and say EJ 20 or a V8? It makes less power and torque, weighs a fair bit, has limited aftermarket support and still needs that foreign substance to run (water). I love the sound of a six but wonder why this engine is used so often in VW conversions.
