I now have a good F.I. to replace the Sh--ie 2bl. carb.
While I have every thing taken off the top of the engine, I thought I would remove the engine tin to powder coat them and detail the engine. The Ques. is can that be done without removing the engine?
I know there are some pretty big pieces, will they go through the engine lid area,if I remove it . Need imput! Dave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_flagge6.gif)

Ya, yank it, but also straighten and trial fit the tin.

Then send it to the powder coaters, when you get it back it will fit perfect.

It will also be easier to install the FI with it out.

Have fun, Mark
