i need the lapping material for my t4 engine build so that i can run without head gaskets.
i have checked on the Type IV Store but wasnt able to find any. anyone know where i can get some? thanks -jim |

It's called "valve grinding compound", and it's sold at REAL auto parts stores.
That said, whatever made you think it's necessary? Something somebody said on the internet? Wanna buy a nice bridge in NYC? Your machinist did a great job of setting the heads up in his mill and surfacing them to within an RCH of perfection, and you wanna introduce the precision of spinning a cylinder you're holding in your highly precise hands? When will this myth finally die? You DID have the heads surfaced by a REAL machinist, right? One with some experience at doing this? 'Cause if you didn't, we're wasting our time here ............
