I had great sucess w/ the a BRILLO pad - they look great. The main ingrediant is "patience."

They are looking sweet - I just asked earlier about the chrome paint job on the inside of the fog light housing - any suggestions?

thanks -

OK, here I go again, espousing the qualities of a product called Simichrome (made by Happich - German). You guys just won't listen. Just try it once with a couple of soft cloths & you will thank me. I've used it for over 30 years with 100% success (other than the fuglies I dumped on DaveP). I even once polished my transaxle with it, but it came out like it was chrome plated! Good stuff - perfect for the area inside the foglight housing.

OK, I'l see if I can come up with a pic - have several somewhere in this 34 accumulation of crap. Suffice it to say it didn't last (thankfully). Within a month it oxidized back to its former condition, though one heck of a lot cleaner! Took me 12 hours to do the polishing! If nothing else I know I have a pic of my headlight motors after the same routine. I've since let them go back to the tiger stripes.
