I have come up with a process to stamp the original style build dates and VIN numbers on new door jam decals. It will look just like the originals. I haven't worked out how I will do them for people, so they are not using this service to dupe up 914/6 or LE's (etc). Brad suggestions???? If only a few people are interested I will buy the decals from AA and punch them out. If enough people are interested I will get some made. I'm also looking at punching in those large C's to make it tamper proof as used on the later cars (something AA decals don't offer) . If you might be interested in this service please post here. I will post later when I'm ready to start the service. I haven't figured out a price yet. It depends on how many I can do at one time. I'd like to do batches of these every six months or so. Like anything else, it the set up time. I'll post a picture of the decal before I start taking firm orders. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hey Guys,
I know of a good part time "parts" business for one of you 914ers. We did this for one of my past Early Ford V/8ers guys & it grew into a full time business. Are you Ready!! Research the parts book and package "Metric Nuts & bolts" specific for the motor, chassis, etc. etc. Lots of guys doing repairs or restorations will gladly pay $$ to purchase packaged nuts & bolts rather than go hunting for these nuance items. I know, I would gladly pay someone to send me all the cheeseheads screws, nuts, bolts with the correct finish for a motor rebuild. Tom |
