I have come up with a process to stamp the original style build dates and VIN numbers on new door jam decals. It will look just like the originals. I haven't worked out how I will do them for people, so they are not using this service to dupe up 914/6 or LE's (etc). Brad suggestions???? If only a few people are interested I will buy the decals from AA and punch them out. If enough people are interested I will get some made. I'm also looking at punching in those large C's to make it tamper proof as used on the later cars (something AA decals don't offer) . If you might be interested in this service please post here. I will post later when I'm ready to start the service. I haven't figured out a price yet. It depends on how many I can do at one time. I'd like to do batches of these every six months or so. Like anything else, it the set up time. I'll post a picture of the decal before I start taking firm orders. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Mr. GWN7
I know some 914 like to buy like yourself, but what I was trying to suggest is "convenience shopping". One of our 914ers can make a little side money packaging up the correct nuts/bolts for repairs with the 914 crowd. They buy in bulk, count the correct number of items needed, put a 100% markup x frt. I am sure even AA would be interested in a packages of correct parts for resale. Just trying to help with an idea for a start up business for a low buck 914er. It could be done in their basement/garage. 7-11 is successful why not a 914er? Tom |
