The NASCAR hp stretched the gearbox(s) and chassis limits which escalated the costs. It is an awesome car and I appreciate Elmer (with his means) for having it built.

i've been on the track at the same time as this guy. i think the car was stored/maintained at thunderhill for a while -- i've seen it up there many times.
let me just say that this is a scary, scary, scary-fast car. it's also bit unerving, whilst traveling towards turn 1 at 110mph, to have this guy blow by you at 150+. i've let him by in the middle of a turn, and by the time i've got the wheels straight again, he's no where to be seen. absolutely crushing accelleration and cornering speed. not for the timid, married, self-preserving, or inexperienced. |
