Hey everyone?
Iam not not a 914 owner but I have replica of 356 speedster on VW Bug pan and to day I have 1,3 boxer and gear box from bug In my car. But what I need to know is hear in Iceland are one man and him have porsche 914 ยด1975 and hi was whit 1,8 engine in side but he replace hear for 2,7 6,cylenders porsche engine and hi want too sell me the old engine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) But what I need to know is that du i have to remove the flywhell from the 1,8 engine and can I use My flywhell from mynd old engine? and how is the essyest way too get more HorsePower out of hhit engine? i don't think the 914 trans will work in your bug based speedster because the 914 trans is for a mid-engined car and the bug trans is a rear engined car. gets to the old problem of 1 speed forward and 5 speeds reverse, that is, the trans turns the wrong way.
