The gas pedal on my 73 goes off to side when pressed vs straight back. I have not had time to look at it. What may be the cause and where should I look?

The hinge is rusting out. you will need to replace the pedal.
I did a lowbucks repair on one of my 914's a long time ago by using a hinge from a hardware store & little cutting and bolted it to the OE floor locationa and drilled 2 holes on the pedal to bolt it to the hinge. |
