I just replaced my rear KYB's and front Boge's with Bilsteins. The KYB's I could tell were good since they are gas charged when I pressed the shaft down it came back up. I know the Boge's aren't gas charged so how can I tell if they are still good? When I press them down there is signigicant resistance, same with pulling the shaft back up.

Then they're more than likely good. Both should be the same. Make sure there's no fluid leaks on the shafts. The resistance test you did is the way I gauge all my hydraulic shocks.
