Earilier this year, someone did a 3rd gear takeoff up hill which smoke the clutch real bad and caused the speedometer to stop working. My thought is that the speedo cable is broken but wanted other thoughts before I pull and replace it.

Nevermind. I pulled the angle gear off the side of the tranny and realized that it was broken and not the cable.
