I had planned to redo my car this winter becuase of a few things that were not done the first time.
After months of talking with the boby shop, they have agreed to totally re do the car at no CHARGE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rocking nana.gif) This will happen this coming winter. Now that's customer satisfaction! Attached image(s) ![]() |

The place is in Long Lake, MN here's a link. They are only doing the stripping and E coating, if you read the site you'll find they have a very different way of stripping a car. The painting is done be MCP Car Star in Annandale, MN. The don't do restorations they just do normal paint and repair work. I have know these guys for over 20yrs and they have always repaired my work trucks. They have stated many times that this is the best paint jod they have ever done. But they have proved time and again that is wasn't just luck. The hood has been repaint 3 times, the rear deck once, both front quarters a couple of times(if your wonder why some many times... it tends to get a few rock chips driving it to all the car show) and they get the paint to match perfect each time.
As for the heater tubes they will taken out and replaced after the E coat. The weld to patch the hole cut to take them out will be the only place on the car without some kind of rust proofing. http://precisionresto.com/restoprocess/ecoating.html Here's the link to the stripping process. http://precisionresto.com/restoprocess.html |
