ok, so I started to pull apart the motor to replace the base shims..
where is all this oil coming from? my head nuts were loose, I think the oil was coming from the head stud to the case? anyone else run across this? ![]() it looks like my cylinder was leaking also... ![]() |

Did you torque the heads in the proper sequence?
I didn't & have cylinder head oil leak after 20 years ( minor, but major on a CW car). Took a shortcut - got burned. It DOES leak. It DOES make a mess. I AM stupid. I WILL fix it this spring. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB. Got expert advice. Didn't listen. Paying for it now. Anyone know if you can change this seal/gasket without removing the motor? Apologize for hijacking this thread. Pat |
