I just found some crap !!!!
I have been into 914's for a while. This is my second one. The previous owner did alot of stupid stuff to the car, Im slowly fixing everything I just found gold on all my emblems. The car is painted silver. He painted over all the emblems. WTF? The paint comes right of and they clean up nice. What cars came with gold and what cars came with chrome ? Thanks, Seth |

The engine lid lettering and 914 emblems were gold up to end of 1972.
The engine lid lettering went silver from 1973, and the 914 and engine size emblems went black. Early emblems were pot metal. Later on, the 914 & engine size went to plastic and finally in 1975 to a decal. |
