Anybody interested in getting together again this summer in June.
I sold my car to Mike Z but would still like to have another get together. It was a good time. I still have a 914 in the garage just not mine. We had over 20 people last year and about 15 Porsches lets get the same or bigger turnout. We also had Cousins Subs and GPR step and offer food and part discounts, maybe I can get some more stuff rolling this year. Lets also get a little swap meet going, I have lots of parts still laying around in the garage and back shed. Anybody interested in doing this again?? I got the place, food and the curvie roads. QUOTE How is that possible? It's a 914!QUOTE What is wrong? I never got the backfiring/power loss/idle issues sorted out that popped up at the end of last summer. Before he moved back to Cali, Chris helped me set the dwell and timing, but it didn't last. I need a valve adjustment as well prior to the ignition stuff, and need to install my SS heat exchangers and Bursch. I figured to have Brad give it a thorough look but he hasn't been towards Chicago in awhile and I haven't been able to get it to him. These days (Maddie's great!) I just don't have the time or will to try to stumble through this stuff myself. I might try to limp it to the local bug shop just to get it in shape to drive to ~halfway to Brad but I didn't really have a good vibe about the place when they did my rear brake lines. |

Sorry to hear about the troubles. Valve adjustments are bad enough but heat exchangers even worse. I wish we were closer. I could give you a hand. If you want to drag it to South Elgin, maybe we could spend a day on it. |
